What Is the Impact in Action Challenge?

The Impact in Action Challenge is a friendly, mission driven fundraising campaign designed to spotlight the incredible ways AORN Chapters support perioperative nurses through the AORN Foundation.

It’s simple, flexible, and built for chapters of all sizes, helping you engage members, promote giving, and strengthening your community.

Why Participate?

• Build community and member engagement
• Help advance scholarships and grants
• And—your chapter could win great prizes

How Can Your Chapter Join the Challenge?

Chapters will receive one drawing entry with every completed activity. All you have to do is participate in one or more of the following activities to get started:

• Make an unrestricted donation
• Lead at Least One Fundraising or Engagement Activity
  Examples include:
  • Co-Chair Virtual Bingo or host raffle/drawing fundraiser
  • CE event with a giving moment
  • Chapter donor appreciation moment
  • “Pass the Hat” at a meeting
  • A simple social media mini campaign
• Submit a fundraising story and photo
  • Activity name/type
  • Date and number of members engaged
  • Any funds raised
  • A brief description and photo
  • Submit to [email protected]
• Become a Sustaining Donor Chapter
  • Current sustaining chapters will be entered into the drawing automatically

Earn Prizes

In January of 2027, a drawing will be held, and the following prizes will be awarded:

• One complimentary registration to the AORN Global Surgical Conference & Expo 2027
• $100 worth of AORN swag for your chapter to use
• Hotel stay at Philadelphia Marriott during Expo 2027
• $250 to use towards an educational chapter event
• Tribute vase to honor a chapter member or to use as a gift or giveaway ($250 value)

Receive Public Recognition

Participating chapters will be recognized in the following ways throughout the year:

• Recognition in Foundation communications
• Provided a participation badge to use on their Nursing Network site
  
  
• Social media spotlight
• On site acknowledgment at Expo 2027
• Quarterly spotlight during chapter townhalls

• Challenge Opens: January 2026
• Activities Completed By: December 31, 2026
