The McMurray Enhanced Airway (MEA) is a fast, easy-to-use airway device designed to open the upper obstructed airway without requiring hands-on chin lift or jaw thrust maneuvers. This frees providers’ hands and avoids prolonged patient-provider contact during COVID. The MEA also helps decrease coughing after deep extubation in the O.R. and before transfer to Recovery. The MEA is an excellent airway management option for patients who are difficult to mask and others undergoing deep MAC.
